What is your mod order / load order?
There's been a few threads on this on Reddit, so here's a pinned discussion for here.

Share your mod orders for the folks trying to get a huge number of mods to load at once.

ive done a full comprehensive breakdown of mod load orders here. This should mitigate any crashes for the general public. If anyone has any further questions you can feel free to post me a load order on the above thread and i will get back to you on reddit :)

LOAD ORDER Help
Hey, enjoying the hell out of this game- got a bit too into it, installed a bit too many mods, need some help sorting them as me attempting to do so with my ape-brain has resulted in thus more frequent crashes. Here is my load order as it currently stands, again, I got the ape-brain and need some help sorting things out. Would like to keep all mods currently listed installed, if possible. Cheers

if one mod has the same thing as another
you load the one you want as priority below said mod.

I've tried going though it a few times myself as I said, but I'm having more issues the more I mess with it. Is there anything specifically you might see that I'm not seeing that I should move? Thanks again for the reply
i do not as i do not know most those mods

My mod list isn't as large but I always place Reactive World at the very bottom. Not sure if that would help you.

I think this has fixed it, currently playing and still no crash
Deaddiggle Aug 7, 2019 @ 1:36pm
This post is a few months old but i just wanted to put my 2c in for ya nomad.

obviously the crashes came from the mods.

little rules of thumb:
1.Large mods that change a lot (preferably only one)
2.Mods that add things like npcs or towns
3.AI and mechanic changes
4.Mods that add small things like a weapon or piece of Armour
5.sound and graphic mods

kenshi gives highest priority to mods from the bottom up in the mods list on the kenshi launcher.
your mods list should look like this:
5. x
4. x
3. x
2. x
1. x
If you follow the general rules above.

following that doesn't guarantee you don't have conflicts but it helps and allows mods that are more likely to crash the game remain stable as they are normally the larger ones and should be found at the bottom of the list.

The only other thing I'd like to mention as it nullifies this entire thread assuming @Nomad did fix his issues the way it seems he/she did...READ THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DESCRIPTION OF YOUR MODS!!!!!

A lot of mods have direct descriptions of roughly where they should be in load order. now maybe the description only applies to the one mod and its affiliated mods, but if you combine their micro instructions with the general rules of thumb Macro instructions above you shouldn't run into many issues unless you have conflicting mods.

The biggest reason I hark on about that is @narkos issue would have been fixed from the get go (even though the load order he/she has isn't the best) because the description of the mod "Reactive World" says to put it in top priority mod area to that it can reduce conflicts are it changes a lot and needs to over write minor changes other mods make.

Hopefully this helps you in the future Nomad or anyone else reading having load order issues.
Happy kenshi campaigns!

aditionally i took a little time to reorganize and rebuild the listed mod list with some comments for you @Nomad if you're still playing and anyone else who is having load order problems and would like to see what 15-20 mins of taking time to review the active mods and reorganize them based on the above criteria. Hope it helps for any and everyone.

As the author of one such world such world state mod, I'd say they should actually be last or near last. Major bugs can occur if my mod is above another mod that edits the world data, and the same could easily be true of other similar mods.

While compilations of small changes should be towards the top. That way if another mod conflicts with one of those changes, it can simply override it if needed. Easy example being my Tweaks and Fixes mod, if loaded below Dark UI it causes major issues with the text, but loaded above there are no noticeable conflicts. One of my changes is overridden, but the user gets a better and cleaner experience.

So in short.
Top: Small fixes and compilations of changes.
Middle: Everything else, generally sorted with the important mods to you further down.
Bottom: World state and other world editing mods.

Perfect thanks! I don't use too many mods since it's important for me to showcase the vanilla experience so hearing this stuff from people who regularly use significant numbers of mods is very valuable.

Deaddiggle my dude, thank you so much for taking the time to create this helpful guide for us regarding mod load orders, even going as far as organizing that guy's load order that I can use as a reference. Much appreciated my guy.

This should be stickied imo, it's extremely useful information.
Caliburn Sep 2, 2019 @ 7:00am
Merged a discussion topic into here so it's a bit easier to reference and talk about in future.
