ooh Thank you very kindly for proving so much info!
I really do appricate it!
May i ask what kind of person the dev is?
Is he like a chill person or a rude?
i have never heard anything about the dev so im quite interest what kind of person he/she might be
Personally, I've never had any bad experiences with the current team, at least the ones I've spoken to before. They've all been very respectful and friendly, even with users who are being incredibly disrespectful to them.
They're also quite helpful. Several months ago I forwarded up a programming question that one of the wiki editors needed to help organize some data, it got passed along through chain of devs to track down someone who actually knew the answer, before finally getting back to me. Told the user how to edit the file to display the data he needed. Not every company would bother with something like that.
I know some of them like to lurk around in the community too. Usually not speaking, but they like seeing the stuff the community makes, or theorize about.
Interesting thanks for sharing this amazing information!
unlikely.
it would take at least 6 years just to upgrade the engine of the first game.
then redoing all the assets.
its simpler to make a new game then try and remake the original.
That... is still like a dagger through my weak heart.

It's not easy when developers try and release something on a new engine because they have not so much time to study the engine and their publishers usually pushing a release so the developers have less time to optimize things. The reputation of the Ue5 is mediocre because of the many early releases and the time of optimize. Some games did better than others but that also depends on the team and their experience with the tools they get.
This is why for example Bethesda releases more or less a stable but buggy mess very often because they are using the creation engine for 20+ years. The engine is a custom built one but most part are based on Gamebryo engine.
Still there are new engines what's going to be released / created but most engines are in house because it is easier to use an engine you are familiar with it. It's always depends on how much resources required to make an engine or modify one to be usable the team. Client teams using client engines if they do not have time and resources to make their own engine but these teams using what they familiar with.
In my opinion if they do release some news without spoiling things is useful to keep the players interested. There are multiple way to see it, like weekly news, monthly news, once in half year or no news until the game released. Many teams made mistakes of overhyping the game and promising a release date which later was not achievable. Some teams can show news on monthly bases because their approach to inform the gamers they are working is like that. Some games in development for years without any information and before release in monthly the devs releasing news.
All way doable because a surprise release have large impact on the interest and sales especially if the game match with the non existant expecations or above avararege. Marketing also plays when the game is confirmed and have all the stuff what can be good to generate interest.
In Kenshi's case the hype is based on about the first game and how the second game could perform. Some people still not heard about the first game or have negative opinion just by looking at it but those who played praising and can easily fall into a hype trap. Players have less and less patience because the lifespan is short and the attention span for newer players is short simply because the generational changes / different interests. People above 30+ years are generally more patient but I do not wish to generalize simply because it is an individual thing.
I personally not using too much the forums and I have on various game forums but nowadays I am rarely replying or active simply because now I have finally time to start my projects what I had to do but had no time to do.
So the moderation is fine and I do trust on Neko, Cat, Shidan because all of them chill persons even if I do know 2 of them a little bit more but not deeply.
Now I am back on devving.
