My entire save folder of 11 saves, is only 704 mb.
20 zipped saves from reporting bugs
612 megs total save folder size.
what do you have?? 2000 + save folders??
total game size in my folder only reach's 10.5gb ( with save folders and mods and 3 years worth of crashdumps )
so not sure how your getting 13.9gb
"Sir, i believe there is something wrong with your savegame. Could you please upload it to a file hosting service so the devs can have a look? thanks!"
he can always screen shot the file with properties open if he can't upload the file at least then they can see he is looking in right area
Pretty sure what you found is the entire Kenshi folder. Were you using some sort of app to determine harddrive usage, or were you doing it manually?
There's just simply no way a kenshi savegame could be that large. All savegames are, are reference values.. It's just text and numbers that reference game data and assets.
I have one savegame that i've been working on since the release of 0.9. It has 52 units, and they are now working on constructing their 8th town. (I really like to move to different areas from time to time).
This savegame is 47mb. That being said, unless you've got 200+ savegames as large and extensive as this one, I'm not sure how you could have acquired that size of a savegame folder.
I mean.. it's certainly possible... But that requires intention. It's not something that would just happen on it's own.
While 13.9gb sounds unlikely, it's certainly not inconceivable that some recursive bug caused one of the zone files or something to fill up with duplicate information. A few patches ago, there also was a bug that caused nest loot to duplicate itself.
