Seriously, this has been how we've done it for decades.

For some games yes.
But most do not have the option. Kenshi is one of those that do not have the option.
And it's nearly impossible to mod in your own music as well.

Yea. Only if your computer is like really old or just barely passes the lowest min requirements would you lag.

You should have no real issues. Unless you have a old laptop. Like 10 to 15+ year old laptops.
