Some people recommend mortality to (2.0 or even 2.5) to prevent enemies from rising again. they die very fast, (andyour characters as well, so be aware)
According to what I read, this used to be included in the game but devs said that it goes both ways. When your dudes get down, the NPCs will use the mechanic to finish you off.
only animals can be killed because they can eat you and you can use their drop on death items for food or crafting.
If you wish to force kill you will have to use a Mod, there is two out there that i know of.
or use the sliders to adjust bleed rates and chance of death and damage, that's why they was added in lue of kill when down.
there are no plans to add kill when down to the game.
Also, who the hell sleeps near a bunch of unconscious enemies you just beat up? Common sense should dictate that you haul your but far away to a more secure location, then you sleep.
Can't do that in vanilla huh.
makes kenshi somewhat unique even though it doesn't make a whole lot of sense logically to spare the cannibals that will try to eat you alive if you allow them to recuperate :)
This game is all about being bruised and bloody and limping away from the battlefield whether you win or lose. It’s one of the things I really like about Kenshi, and it goes both ways.
I know that this is how it is and I can live with it, but it still doesn't really make sense to me and it doesn't help immersion.
Personally I find it no more immersion breaking than all my characters somehow knowing that the enemy is still alive and going to manage to recover, even more so when said characters don't have a lick of medical knowledge.
From a realistic perspective, my character would have no expectations of the guy they just chopped up surviving his injuries without medical aid, and thus no reason to go around and "finish the job" so to speak. And generally speaking, with the higher chance of death settings I usually play on, they rarely do survive.
I never found it unrealistic that a bandit wouldn't bother to kill you after beating and robbing you and leaving you without a weapon in the backwoods.
