A few Questions about AI Cores, trading and cities
HeyHey!

After 150 hours of gameplay i still have some questions and i hope you can help me.

1) Where can i find AI Cores? Of course in Ancient Tech Sites but is there some other place? I looked in *every* shop and cant find any new cores. Can i build them by myself?

2) Is it possible to build a city and attract other NPC to live there?

3) Is the Shop Counter really so worthless? My group has 20 Members (2 squads) and i earn my money by producing weapons and armour + buying and selling stuff i found in the shops - so my group make 200.000 cats per day / in this situation, is it worth to have a shop counter?

All in all i really love the game, i can do nearly whatever i want and can write my own story, go my own way, great!

Sorry for my bad english, i really try hard :(

I don't think shops can sell them. I've checked, even if other people have claimed worlds end can sell rare crap.

The shops never restock the rare stuff, which for me was just ONE ancient science book.

I dunno about building a city to attact people, but my weird outpost has gottena bout 5 people that just randomly showed up and eyed out the place saying that it looks like a better life than living in the cities before joining for no money and having better stats than the random people you get with 1 in all stats.

I don't know anything about shops. But in my opinion they're completely worthless. Money is worthless in this game. You can make the best armor, and if the weapon isn't a Plank of edge type 2 or better, just make Planks edge type 2 on your own.

I've found AI cores, I think like 3 so far, but I found them by wandering all along the north western coast. I think it's the way it works because for some reason no factions own the lands. So long as you just keep going along the coasts and looking in to any ruins that show up you'll find them.

1)I can confirm that there is a shop in World's End that sells A.I core though i'm not sure whether or not it restocks them. The faction H.Q in World's End stores some A.I cores in their chest at the top floor maybe 2~3 unless they change it.

2)As far as I know, nope. Tax collectors and traders are just the few npcs that come and go to my outpost.

3)For now the Shop Counter is pointless because NPCs can only buy trade goods and not weapons or armor. Besides you earn a lot more when you sell weapons and armor at a number of towns then waiting for a trader who may or may not buy any of your trade goods.

Thank you for the quick answers!!!

Ok so i dont biuild a shop counter. I reloaded an old savegame and jep, there were AI Cores in Worlds End, maybe i sold them in the past, stupid me. I hope i dont come in a situation where i cant do any further science anymore because there are no AI Cores.

What i want so badly see in the game are NPC that settle in my town without become members of my group, just normal citizen of my growing empire. Would love that :3

And again: thank you, you helped me alot!

They actually sell those things? I got like 3 crafting mats shops in my worlds end, and like I said the only thing they ever had that was actually rare was the one book. And no their stock never replenishes anything important, while the general junk they have shifts, the one I got my book from is still carrying the three catun 2-3 wakizashis I gave it on like day 90 when my weapon smith finally learned how to make better weapons because I found my cores on some abandoned island lab.

I got half a mind to turn some rabid humanoid hating animals or robots into implements of death and just carrying them off from my base and releasing them in the tech hunter HQ now. And if that don't work I'll just declare war on the UC since it was a long time coming anyways.

Got so many of these cores stored away its hilarious.

Hope they add more research topics to the game.

Where? Where did you find so many?

Stole them from the safe in the Researcher building at World's End, sometimes from the traveller's shop there too since they randomly can have a supply of them.

Found them in ancient labs guarded by security spiders.

And of course every time you import they will refresh, and I've been playing the same save for a long time now.

Oh and btw. Did you know about the Robot Army that will fight for you once you found them? Its N-E of Black desert City. Around 20 Robots with names like "Errorcode X0FF00 and so on. The only thing they say is "Error" but they will defend you without question. So if you want to raid a big city just hook them up. You cant controlt hem but they are very effective anyway.

Very, very rarely I've found AI cores at the World's End tech shop. Usually it's ancient science, but I've lucked out.

You COULD cheese it a bit and import a new game with all techs, buildings, and unit positions in place, which would effectively restock all the labs for the lootin'

Seems almost like you have to. I think you need more ai cores than are actually available in the game.
When last of map is in. It should have enough ingame then.

Actually there are about 7 A.I. Cores in world's end faction HQ - they are spread around in different containers (not only in high tech safe). And 2 shops had A.I. Cores - world's end traveller goods shop had 1, scraphouse in black desert had 3.

Tested all of this on 4 restarts in 0.97.6, and yes - shops don't respawn cores (maybe just for me, but checked several times). But on all restarts these shops got fixed amount of ancient items, i think it's not random.

Dammit I forgot the Scraphouse since that's a newer addition.

They've got all sorts of amazing stuff on offer, and if you're a thief then its even better for you.

It is random, but it'll just use the same "seed" to generate items again if you import or start a new game. So you'll get the same items every time you test it, while another player may have a totally different set of items.

And no they don't respawn these items. There's currently no renewable source of any research artifacts besides the normal books.
