Kenshi: The Matter of the Shift + F12 Cheat Menu
Kenshi is a Great Game, with a huge world to explore, but sometimes it can be slow or boring, or even downright hard at the beginning.
People who wanted to speed it up could look for cheat mod's, but does Kenshi have a cheat menu? It does, but I havent seen a single tutorial of how to use it, so maybe something should be done to create a guide of how to use the Kenshi Cheat Menu.

It is not made for cheating, and does not have the kinds of debug cheats you might normally expect from some games. It's a modding tool, for editing the world.

It is development tool more than cheat menu.

The in-game editor version of the FCS isn't exactly a "cheat menu" due to how it works. And, take care - Choosing to "Save" after using it will overwrite whatever active mod is shown as active and that's usually the default game files unless one specifically changes it. That is bad... If you do that, you'll need to reinstall them to fix whatever it was you just borked up. :)

There are tutorials for the FCS and its in-game version as far as making mods goes.

PS - It's not really a "console." You can't, for instance, actually "spawn in" items and such, though you can edit what's there if you know what you're doing. To learn how, take a look at some of the Guides on the FCS.

But there really isnt a guide for it, thats why im asking
there are only tools, no actual cheats
the closest would be editing your save file, but even then you are limited.

You can spawn in whatever item you want, but you have to edit the in game editor using FCS.

...When you edit the editor, you become the editor

Regardless, I dont see a guide of How to USE It, That would be usefull

Mess around with it for a bit. The worst that happens is you have to verify your files through steam to restore the game to it's original state. Wouldn't even mess with any save files you have.

So, If I wanted to add a expensive building to my outpost for free, it would work yes?

I think as a player-owned building, it would work and be counted for saved-game purposes.

While I don't think Research limitations would prohibit that in some "backwards check" kind of way, it's always "safer" to do things the natural, planned, way. But, it is an editor and there for reasons of editing and creating, so use it how you will.

Note: The stand-alone exe "FCS" however is a more feature rich tool for you to use to create mods. You could, in fact, give yourself the ability to practically add such things at will by creating a mod that enabled you to do that. ie: Reduce costs of all advanced buildings, give ability to craft everything, etc.. That would be a Mod and any compatibility/bugs encountered because of that would be easily isolated.

Just place the building in a place that's already counted as your outpost and it will work. So build a small house or a mine or something like that and then the large structure will be yours.

That's interesting. So, you don't have to give it that kind of "tag?" (Haven't used the in-game editor for anything much, so don't know much there.)

If so... If your area can "take over" an "unowned" building like that, then it could be very easy to "take over a town" if you can add-in a mod that removes ownership and sets everything to a state just like that added building. Maybe? (Would have to first be able to ensure a player could build or claim a "Starter Building" for that kind of "cascade effect" though, I assume.

I'm sure there's a spot to change building ownership tags, but I haven't found it. There are already mods that allow you to conquer cities and take them over. I've never seen an unowned building except for the one I added in the game editor that was in the middle of the desert. That's why I'm suggesting that Gondor build a small building at least so it automatically is added to his faction.

If you place a building near another faction city it automatically becomes theirs as well.

But city conquering mods arent on the stream workshop yet that I see
GamerFromGondor Apr 30, 2019 @ 3:46pm
But, For example, lets say if I build a settlement on the Northern Coast (My Favourite Building Spot), and I used the Editing Menu to Spawn in... A Black Market Building (WHICH is big and expensive), would I have to build it without spending materials OR would it just place itself there.
