towers on map with crossed swords?

So just returned to kenshi after a long abscence to check out all the new goodies, god i'm loving the new map :)
Anyways i see some towers on the map that have crossed swords underneath the map icon and i'm wandering if it's part of a war system i'm missing out on or something?

It's just the one of the new map icons, representing outposts in this case. :)

shame i was hoping the crossed swords meant the factions fought for territory and went back and forth with control of those locations but alas i guess the way stations deserved and extra special icon for no reason lol.
