Unable to build mounted crossbows
Hello all,

I just got level two walls, and when trying to place crossbows on top, I get a message saying that it is too close to another building.

I tried some of the usual stuff, saving and loading, ctrl+shift+F11, and even rebuilding the wall in a different configuration, but no matter what I can't build them where I want them (overlooking my gate). It does look like I can build them on some of my other walls, so I don't think they're completely bugged.

Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know a workaround?

Thanks!

[Edit]
Used "their" instead of "they're" and now I want to curl up and die.

where did you build?
if your out in the open then zipup your save with the issue and upload it for the Dev to look at.

I think I had to restart the game to be able put my crossbows on it. Have you done that?

@HaTsUnE
Here's a picture, I can build on the blue spots, but can't build the mounted crossbow anywhere else.

@Gozzon
Yes, I forgot to mention that in between save+load I completely exited the game and restarted.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Okay. Looks like the sticky in this forum says that lofigames.com (specifically the bug report forum) is the place to do that. Is that still the best place?

Based on that screenshot, I'm betting it's due to the bend in the wall. The part that makes the curve is a separate "building" from the normal wall. I'm guessing it is intersecting the spot where you're trying to place the turret.

You can use any of these free cloud storage services
dropbox[www.dropbox.com]
googledrive[www.google.com]
File Dropper[www.filedropper.com]
or the main forum[www.lofigames.com] ( 20 megs max ) to post your bug reports.
For Steam just post the link to the file in your post.

Any free cloud storage service should be acceptable long as it offers free access to the data for non registered users.

@Shidan
That's what I was thinking when I re-built the wall (it used to be a lot curvy-er), but I'll give it another shot to see what happens when I straighten it out.

Also, on that point. the wall to the right won't let me build them either, and it's pretty much lined up with the gate.

I think I just figured it out. Looks like each wall section has to be a certain length before it'll allow turrets on top. I'll try and take a picture to illustrate.

Thanks for all your help!
moved to bugs subforum.

Here's a pic with both good and bad walls.

If you look closely you can see that the right side has 3 "openings" (where the turrets go), whereas the left side has 4 (plus these are more like micro sections, as it isn't quite one wall section in the build menu).
