Engineering blueprints?
I found ancient ones at worlds end (literally at the other side of the map) but I can't seem to find engineering blueprints so I can research foundations and large buildings. Where do I find them??

I'll take a look. For future reference that link may not be relevant since it's 6 months old. It also doesn't talk about engineering blueprint, just ancient books. But thank you :)
read the spoiler text in that topic.

Yes, like I said, that post is about 6 months old, and didn't say where they may be.

The linked thread is still relevant and if you look at the spoiler text in that thread it will tell you.

Hey tim most stores sell them. Little brown books and little blue books. The brown ones are like 200ish a pop not bad at all. The blue books are 5k a pop. You can find them in the ruins that litter the map. Normally in locked chest. I found the best way was to buy them. I collected copper to sell, then bought books with it.

Also you were correct the search was not relevant. I buy mine at the shek citites and the tech hunter waystation in the stenn desert. I honestly hate when people come to answer a question with "you can use the search function". So I felt obligated to try and answer this for you.

There is a reason for the search option. mostly since things get asked over and over again, this helps the people asking questions to find there answers faster. since not everyone answers quickly so a person could be sitting for hours waiting. when they could have searched first.

this is why it will always be something i tell people to try and do. especially when it's usually covered in spoiler tags.

I'm actually disapointed with steams search function. Maybe google spoils me.

i can pretty much garuntee you google did spoil you when compared to Steams search function. but steam only searches its topics soo much more refined.

Steam search is BS IMO. I typed "engineering blueprint" and he gave me 3 pages of random topic with those words randomly in it, and most of the topic where about using an engineer to build, and blueprint to unlock stuff.
There was about 2 of them who might have been relevant (a topic about research, and another about advanced research book).

And if I type with quotation mark for the exact result, there is only 1 result, which is the one mentioned earlier, and very vague.

Traditionally, I use google search to find steam post. Especially when word like "engineering" is involved, which can easily be spelled wrong.

As for the question, I found mine in
the ruins, the one in the West mostly. Ancient lab and workshops are likely to give you some. I think I found most of mine from the workshop. There is another workshop west of the swamp, south to, maybe there to. If you don't have enough, note the place you found some, and import the same, it will "reset" the loot

I didn't know steam had a search function when I posted this tbh (I'm using the iPhone app and the search function is a swipe right to bring up). Regardless thank you guys for your responses. The only blueprints I haven't found are the engineering ones but I'll try shek cities. Also how does import work? Does it reset loot only?

On Importing into a new game , resets everything except faction relations.
its also how you can easily wipe your old bases while not checking the import with buildings.
you can also reset your research you have done back to default.

Default settings for now on import is reset squad positions, so you have to make sure you check the boxes you want.

I'll have to take a closer look at the import settings, I definately don't want to lose my base or team.

You can't lose your team via the import,so have no worries there. And losing buildings is pretty simple to avoid, just gotta check the box for importing them. :)
