Though, are you entirely sure achievements don't work? I want to launch the game offline, but only the game, not the launcher, using -offline. Have you tried that, do achievements work for you?
Sorry, I myself am asking questions at this point, since I can't check at the moment.
Even if you start the game offline ALWAYS! Ubisoft Connect will launch and the game will always have online DRM ...
I couldn't do anything else, just try to get into the menu at least.
at least not "always" but it doesn't matter.
It's a great game with A BUG! disgusted.
Achievement-wise I've only had issues with 2.
achievement of "shoot a headshot at each enemy"
Y
Achievement for "fulfilling all rescues" I did both, but they were not unlocked
WHAT DOES IT MEAN! PLAY AGAIN! : D
ive tried it
The games online modes are no longer available, if you have only just purchased the game or it has been a while since you have played, you may need to download our new Ubisoft Connect launcher for the game,
The older Uplay launcher that came bundled with our older games, should have prompted you to update to Ubisoft Connect too. If you are still using our older Uplay launcher, please uninstall it, as it may cause issues when trying to launch or connect to our servers.
You can download our new launcher here - https://ubisoftconnect.com/
At present, I have tested this on our Connect launcher and do not have any issues starting a campaign or saving a game.
I do find the connecting to server message appears for no longer than 10 seconds at most, but this can be prevented by launching the game in offline mode, since there is no longer any online, as a workaround.

"Server connection workaround • Link
Initial unsuccessful server connection attempts on title screen still remain. Unsuccessful server connection attempts "PLEASE WAIT WHILE WE CONNECT TO FAR CRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON SERVERS" in menu are mitigated by this.
Edit DLL files yourself
Go to <path-to-game>\bin.
Open the two files FC3.dll and FC3_d3d11.dll with a hex editor. HxD is a popular option for Windows-based operating systems.
Search for the hex-values FF 89 43 0C 85 C0 74 30 83 EC as well as 8B 53 0C 85 D2 74 30 33 C9 in both of the files.
Replace the hexadecimal code 74 with EB at both of the locations in each of the two files.
Save your changes."
ive done very minor testing but seems to eliminate the attempt to connect to the server when opening the menu once in game, hope this helps and saves you all a lot of time =)
Thanks for sharing this, however we must advise you please take care when downloading / installing 3rd party files and making changes to the game as this can lead to performance / compatibility issues.

Thank you very much
having shared the indication to edit the dlls by myself, I was able to edit the files and play safely (I didn't have to install external files).
With such a small change the game, which was unplayable, is now playable. Ubisoft should be ashamed for not providing the solution themselves.
Thanks again.
