So what are the rabbits for?
I at first thought that they were a reference to alice in wonderland, and thought they led to secret areas, but they don't necessarily lead anywhere it seems. Then I saw a few mating and killed them to find a crazy strong black rabbit that hit like a truck. Is there any other purpose to them?

No, not as far as I'm aware of, though that demon bunny is still one of the greatest things I've seen all year.

Though I think they probbaly have somthing to do with the secret achivement "Alice in Shadowland", but I don't know what.

It's a reference to the original game.

That made my day! :) LOL.
In the original they were even reproducing. You could end up with an entire farm of rabbits if you let them do their thing long enough.

Yeah, in the original there was a lot of fun with rabbits. There were even homosexual rabbits and Lo Wang would say ♥♥♥♥ to them. 10/10. I expected the young Lo Wang to say something cool too when he saw the mating rabits, but I didn't get any voice over when I encountered them and spammed the use button or waited a little.

They're there for mating. Survival of the species!

In the original they lead you to secrets or toward the correct path. Lo Wang's master trained them to do so or something. I can't really remember. But in the new game, they just look cute. Also, the demon rabbit was also in the first game, but only once as a secret that referenced Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

That was no ordinary rabbit.

For the Achievement "alice in shadowland" you have to kill 10 demon rabbits ;) (I have done 4 so far)

Interesting, I thought it was something like that, thank you for the information.

The rabbits are reference to the original game... and the flaming black rabbit is a refference to Monty Python.

mating rabbits are from original game (where they had been better, you could say which are males and which are females and after a while young little rabbit of random sex pop out of female :) ). Demon rabbit is just.. surprise for killing them :) no reference to Monty Python. In original there was good one.
