I did is solo on suicidal really easily so I can't imagine HoE is too much worse.

try to do it on solo, it's boring but better chance you will get it :)

You can kite upstairs, camp until they are too many to handle and then kite, I did it with 6 players: 2 zerks (1 of them was me), 1 medic, 2 demo and 1 supp. Well I think 2 zerks are needed and 1-2 meds, the rest doesnt matter..
