I am of the same opinion. Great characters.
If the game were doomed, there would be no updates at all (new maps, weapons, skins and costumes). They are still releasing new content. And I think the support for the game will not stop while there is a profit for paid content or until KF3 is announced
I don't know how the hell one can look at the little that is done and conclude that it is humanly possible to do even LESS, but this is the timeline in which we live.
Devs actually claimed, before the DLC arms race started, to be at 2 possible paths: significantly scale back the scope of updates or add those DLC guns to "keep up the quality and scope of such updates".
And as we all know, they took both ways, scale back updates while putting DLC guns anyways. That's why I find ridicolous there are people who still defend the DLC guns practice or claim devs are still supporting the game.
It takes them 3 months to create new content.
I'm thinking here. Maybe they stopped releasing new characters due to the fact that the costs do not pay off, since not everyone buys them. Maybe it is worth changing the price for them? I don't care if it will be more expensive or cheaper, I will buy it anyway because I'm really looking forward to it.
screw the paid guns, they need to focus on fixing the actual game first
