"It kills fleshpounds faster than a Scar, uses less ammo, has cheaper ammo, weighs less, and allows Commando to singlehandedly counter the only zed that posed a threat to the perk, effectively throwing the game's balance out the window"
"Uh okay that's great and all but can you actually address my points?"
???????
"Guess what, the vocal minorities whining annoyed the hell out of everyone so I guess they left" The vocal minority left because the game is in a terrible state, back during the beta tests when they first discovered that all of the issues they warned tripwire about were completely ignored. Now you're seeing the "non-vocal majority" leaving the game because it isn't fun to play, and now there are constant complaints about how hard it is to even find players.
uh
the game didn't get 69k players
it had 69k people playing during a free weekend after being advertised at e3
Hard is a bit too easy IMO and Suicidal feels like I absolutely need to be Level 25, and even then, the team would need a Berserker, Medic, Commando and Demo.
Cut that "vocal minority ♥♥♥♥ out". Thats a good way to give players a bad stereotype. A good chunk of players left when the Summer Sideshow event began on June 12th. Which lead to a spike in negative reviews. The players that were very vocal about the game's balance left. The players that just played the update and got extremely disappointed in the update(without even saying a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ word) left. There's a growing list of players that left the game because Tripwire's habit of putting in ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design choices ever since the Gunslinger update that introduced Rack Em Up(aka Rhythm/ ReU had a different name back then). So, calling the players that have a valid reason to leave the "minority" is a huge understatement.
Hell, even a streamer left when he just played Summer Beta 1.0. The streamer(who normally plays Suicidal and came from another video game community) said that not a lot of players join his server. However, he liked this game a lot better before v1065.
but then I also think the current hell on earth could have been a new difficulty on top of the older one ... like you know , hell on hell ?
edit : almost forgot too , I have several friends that where also complaining that hell on earth is too hard ... we praticed a bit , readjusted our team composition and loadout then today we beaten a HOE map without too much problems.
demos work better since they're more crowded
just balance it like a normal game
agree on the firebug but my point was that demo has a high damage as sharp and doesn't necessarily need headshots. Just spam them at big zeds and they'll die as well as everything else around them. In enclosed maps they're pretty powerful both firebugs but also demos. Supports and zerkers are practically indispensable.
