How did Mr. Foster and DJ Sc(k)ully got so popular in Kf community?

When i started playing kf2 i was looking through all characters, i was putting my favorite skins on them and yea the 2 i liked the most were foster and skully. Hard to explain why, i never even played kf1. I just love foster mask with a suit and a bowler hat. I also play tanaka a lot because i bought the biker outfit

bouth are different then the others.foster has his suit and scully his mask.i liked scullys look and bought him first in kf2 and later in kf1.and you can see in the later trailers of kf1 often foster or scully so that's where they got hyped i guess

I played a fair bit of Foster in the frst game and out of KF2's cast he is by far the best.
DJ Skully has a good V/O though (Axton from BL2 + Warmage from OMD)

Probably because they are both lunatic personalities, originally outcasts of the society, now mercs without a face. Who wouldn't like them?

Mr. Foster has sorta become the face for killing floor as its unofficial mascot. As for DJ skully, probably the design is also nice.

From what I remember back in mid/late 2009, in KF1, Scully and possibly Foster too, not sure about him, but Scully defently, or should I say, Skully, was leaked in the files or something. Maybe players got excited and I think some servers managed to get the characters to work on their servers somehow, before they came out. Again not sure about Foster but Skully was defently one of the leaked characters and the hype was big back then. Think he was in one of the first dlcs too, could be wrong though, its so long ago.
