Aw, such a bummer, well, I guess it's a good way for the KF2 devs to make money.
It is. If they dropped, no one would buy them.
It's going to take a good 100 days of crates to equal 1 key value item and that is getting all the same crates to create the same class of item.
Almost none of the stuff in crates can be dropped or crafted, and most of the free drops are garbage (more in terms of look than value). I wouldn't call it a good alternative. The only moment in 2 years of gameplay I dropped good stuff was during the sideshow event that just ended.
Any MT's system IS inherently greedy, expoitative and manipulative, especially in a PAID game, this f2p crap is a complete disgrace and an insult to the intellegence of the gamer at large (well at least those of whom who posses any form of intellect) TWI jumped aboard Valve's cheese and gravy train with this move. £2.49 for a key to gamble for a random item and be subjected to a Skinner Box racket? Nah.
Well, you could also consider purchasing keys gambling. Since you never know what you could get. That's what keeps it fun imo.
£2.49 for a key to gamble for a random item and be subjected to a Skinner Box racket? Nah, no thanks.
You probably don't even realise you are being abused by an operant conditioning scam.
