What does Encrypted USB do?
I got Spitfire Encrypted USB. What does it do?

When I press use, it takes me to market.

It's either 2.49 to open, or breakable into crafting material.

Well that sucks. Is it possible to receive a key in a drop?

It's a crate. And it's leading you to the market where you can buy a shiny key for 2.50$ to open it and get most likely a skin worthing 0.30$. Pretty smart, isn't it?

Destroy it before it's too late with the recycle button.

No, keys don't drop.

Tnx guys for a response. Guess it's best to recycle it?

-Spitfire is new so you can probably sell it for a few cents.

Yes, that will give you one material to craft a weapon or cosmetic item.
Or, you could check what the USB is worth on the market. I've already sold things for 0.30-0.90€.

Definitely it is. Selling crates is in no way profitable, since they are sold for 0.04$ and you're lucky if someone buys yours within a week. At least with crafting you can create something more useful.

Not all crates are worthless, most are though. Those with no demand on the market i do recycle, those with a demand, are sold.

Like in every other game, the only crates not worthless are the limited ones or the newest ones. Give the new crates some more days and they will become worthless like all the others.

Tbh, the only game where I see high demand of crates is csgo.

Safes in PD2 are also in demand (at a more reasonable price), but they're plenty and the newest ones are all free to open.

take a chance and earn $10 http://steamcommunity.com/id/ShikiRyougi/inventory/#232090_2_625278751363481833
or sell it to someone else for 5 cents.

Or most likely take a chance and get stuffed with some skin you don't want, which is the greater of the odds on happening, so to answer the OP, it's to encourage you to gamble £2.50 and doesn't even quote you your true odds, it's a racket, don't touch it with a bargepole mate. This is Valve's cancer, just say no. :comic:
