This game is a way better introduction to new language than other language apps since it gives you the opportunity to immerse and use the language since day one. Absolutely loved it :)

The game seems very nice. I would like to play more of it. However, it freezes and stutters frequently - enough so that it made many areas of the game unusable. I would try to speak a word and detection would not function as the game was skipping and stuttering along, missing inputs (audio and game controller alike). This is not a problem with speech, or my mic specifically. The game stutters and freezes even as I walk around the environment.

My machine has a 5090 graphics card, 256gb of ram and a threadripper CPU. I think I am likely to meet the system requirements. There is some other problem at work behind the scene maybe. It is unfortunate that it looks like development has stoped on this game, so I doubt these issues will be resolved.

Should development ever return, and I hope it does, I would suggest that the developer look into using local VOSK models for audio detection so as to avoid the need for an internet connection. I have created language learning tools with them myself and found them to be very effective local models.

EDIT: I went to record the game with OBS today to document the problem I was having for troubleshooting and found that it was no longer happening. I am unsure of what has changed on my system, but it appears that the game is working fine now.
