[Solved] Blue screen after few minutes of play...
This game makes my computer reboot every time i try to play it, cause to a blue screen after few minutes of play (about 15 or 20 minutes where everything runs fine).
I'm on windows 7 x64, i have a GeForce GTX 580, my graphic drivers are up to date, i tried to lower the graphics, windowed mode, nothing helps !
Great, i just can't play...

Issue found thanks to Zloth : The limit framerate option was unchecked, making the game running at a ridiculous framerate making the graphic card overheat

Files integrity seems to be ok.

Who is the manufacturer of your GeForce GTX 580? Is this a custom built system or big box, if it is big box, who is the manufacturer and what is the model number? When did this start happening and how long have you been playing Dvinity? Last semi-easy potential fix, did you do a system restore back to a couple days before this issue occurred?

My problem occurs only when i play Dinivity, it never shows in other situation, i can play any game, no crash. So far i played 4 hours total but i can't play long cause of the crash :/

games cant give you blue screens. You have some hardware problem could be anything really from temp problems to power supply issues.

Try add the game to the AV exception list and windows DEP exception list (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings?SignedIn=1)

The game is known to be very taxing. Heaing up your graphics card immensely. Be sure you check on your graphics card temperature.

I'll throw fast in, deactivate 3D-Vision at NVIDIA Panel too.

This game uses Direct3D 9, the fact that you have DirectX 11 installed on your machine is completely irrelevant.

They are separate runtimes, in asking the question "what DX are you using?" the proper response would be which version of DX9 you have installed. They release the D3D9 runtime quarterly these days, and most games on Steam ship with the redistributable. But you can always download the most recent DirectX redistributable from Microsoft's site.

You can find said installer here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

turn off ssao+ in options and switch to fxaa...it will bring you graphic card temps down a bunch...or manually turn up your fan to max on the video card if you can....680 here...normal fans speeds with ssao+ on...80-85c...off fxaa on....55-60c....full fan speed ssao+ on 60-65c.....hope that stops your crashes

One thing you can try too is changing wich processor physx is using (CPU/GPU) try switch betwee each, even after removing the physx driver.

I allready done this, my GPU temp was around 80 degrees C, it's hot but not critic.

They can, if their engine manage memory badly, leaks or adress corruption may goes into blue screens

Not exactly. That *used* to be the case, but beginning with Windows Vista, games no longer have access to non-virtualized GPU memory. The only thing that can cause a blue screen is a low-level hardware failure or kernel-mode driver problem. Games only have access to user-mode memory management, and about the worst a game itself can do is cause itself to crash or in some rare cases cause the display driver's user-mode front-end to restart itself (the screen goes black for a while and then you get a popup on the system tray saying the driver had to restart itself).

It looks your Gpu can´t handle higher temperatures, and when temp comes to 81degrees it ll turn to bsod. Try to play with fan speed settings if that doesn´t help try run Furmark test and wait till your Gpu reach 81degrees. Then check if u see some gray lines, screen glitches, or ur screen turn to bsod. I don´t know what temperatures can ur gpu handle, but my card was broken and it was doin´ exact same thing. But it can be also a whole different issue- psu efficiency lowered, ram, mb..

I didn't know that, thanks ! :D
