Is this the Dungeon Keeper reboot we've been waiting for?

yes :-) many people call it ''Dungeon Keeper 3''

yet it's actually NOT Dungeon Keeper 3. It has strayed pretty far from the original formula with the skill trees and what-not. It's basically making it a unique game instead of keeping with the simplicity of the original Dungeon Keeper games.

But as far as DK3 goes.. that's actually something people are kicking around. Rumors are swirling that the rights were purchased and there may be a DK3 coming out in the future.

Dungeon Keeper 1+2 are one of my favoritest games i ever played. I am really looking forward to the release of WftO and pretend that developers and community is doing a really great job from what i see.
If anybody has the kindness for a free key i would really appreciate it. Otherwise cu on release day! (omg steam takes "see you" in short as c_u_n_t, wtf?!)

DK is one of the games, I'll never forget! Just love it! :)

No matter how they try to mask a title, infused into my brain as a child and teenager Dungeon Keeper was there. Immediently once I saw WFtO something inside of me lit up as "Its finally back" sort of moment

Well, if EA still owns it, they will probably turn it into an FPS with light RPG elements. And it will tank.

OR! Maybe they'll make a terrible freemium exploitation game for mobile! Naa, that would be below even EA to do to the Dungeon Keeper name!

EA has had the rights for all of the Bullfrog titles forever. I'd be suprised if they did anything beside the horrible iApp they released.

Hi Guys,

Firstly I'd like to say that This IS the Dungeon Management Game you've been looking for. Secondly it's always been our intention to create this game in the way we have, to evolve the standard formulae presented in previous games in the genre with our own twists to create a truly modern entry in the genre while holding true to the core principles you know and love.

If you read through our reviews or through these forums you'll no doubt quickly find your answer, but we always leave that up to yourselves. As long standing fans of this genre we're very much creating the game we've wanted to see for an awfully long time, it's thanks to the support of our community that we finally have the opportunity to do this!

Finally, please keep the discussion of other games on these forums to a minimum, these forums are for the discussion of WFTO and though we welcome discussion of other DMGs we'd prefer to keep it civil :)

Cheers!

Lee

Started watching the developement of this game when I first heard about it. Was a huge fan of the original DK/DK2. Actually all of old Bullfrog games are some of my fondest memories of gaming on my Amiga.

Anyhow, after watching the recent gamplay of Dungeons II, I gotta admit that Realmforge's game look quite a bit better than this. Much more polished, and the gameplay looks to be stronger.

Not sure who's game is going to be out first. Dungeons II is due sometime early next year. I'll be watching the final products since I'm not buying both.

Good luck to both dev teams.
