Patch 2.0 Closed Alpha Soon!
Darkest greetings Underlord,

Work continues unceasingly on the upcoming Patch 2.0. There’s so much exciting stuff happening right now that we’re dying to share with you; but alas the secrets must be kept for a little while longer, as we prepare for the biggest release since WFTO’s launch!

In case you missed it, a few months ago we put out some videos highlighting the lesser known heroes of Patch 2.0. These showcased new animations for a whole swathe of units, which you can catch here:

https://youtu.be/f-C2ZGuLclM

There’s still quite a few more that are underwraps, but hopefully that taster should satiate your cravings for now.

Calling All Map Makers & Intrepid Underlords: Closed Alpha Test!

In the meantime, we’re looking for some committed and dedicated members of our community to join us on our (not so) top secret community testing team, as part of a closed alpha process for the Patch 2.0 and Expansion 4 release.

In particular, we’re very keen to introduce some of our community map creators to the extensive suite of new features and improvements coming to the Map Editor in 2.0.

We’ll be reaching out directly to some of the content creators; but if you’re interested in getting a sneak peek, and helping us ensure the new features are working well and are expansive enough to enable highly-creative endeavours, then please get in touch. Send us your Steam Workshop profile in this thread or send us a private ticket[brightrockgames.userecho.com] on UserEcho!

Cheers,

– Brightrock Games Team

While I wasn't in at the very beginning and I rarely post my maps publicly for any game, I have been playing for quite a while and have been making maps for games ever since Jack Nicklaus Golf for the Commodore 64. I love creating maps and since I'm retired I can and will devote a lot of time to the improved map maker. I'm ready and willing if you're interested in having me.
Hey mrvrod_wpg,

Just email in to support@brightrockgames.com with your full name and address

I'm without time right now, but it makes me really glad that you are still working to achieve the point of "perfect" game (if there is such thing). It makes us all proud of putting our money in this project (and maybe further do in the format of DLC's if the improvements are worth it).
Congratulations

I'm interested. I'm one of your original Kickstarter backers and love what progress you've made. I'm really looking forward to more map editing tools. Here's my profile with what I've made so far:

Nice! Any chance to see a list of features coming with 2.0?

Also, if you are in need of any testers, I have done a lot of alpha/beta testings for various genres and would be interested in helping out.

I can't list specifics right now but I can say that it's so extensive we're actually worried about being able to provide adequate patch notes.

I'm glad the learn that you're doing this. I've been chatting with Webbernever1, one of the QA testers, playing a number of his maps, in which he has workarounds for the lack of scripting in the map editor. (and I've found his maps to make the most of the current game features) I look forward to seeing what's coming out, so that I may be able to get my own maps working the way I intend.

All I care about, is A.I. Scripting, module editing, complete unit and ability edits, and the ability to grab a unit, turn it into a hero, script settings for it and add triggers to maps and timers to structures.:steammocking:

And all of that at the click of a button that reads your mind to know exactly what you want?

If you need it to be tested on a Linux build, by a level headed 50+ DK fan, then I am all up for the challenge. Really starting to get into this game now and am really looking forward to the prospect of 2.0 upgrade.:steamhappy: Nice to see that Noontide has LUCKY comment 13. Design or just coincidence.
