Any news on PC Crossplay Update?

As stated in the dev post of Nov 16th 2022: "In the not-so-distant future, everyone who owns any of the PC versions of Wreckfest available at different platforms such as Steam, Epic, Xbox Game Pass and GOG will be able to join the same multiplayer servers and play online together!"

Did I miss something? Was there an announcement what the current state is or when to expect the update?

Bugbear maybe using Wreckfest #1 PC version to test how to get all the different PC versions to be able to play online together. Then If Bugbear doing a Wreckfest #2, All the WF #2 PC versions will be able play together on release day?

Won't be a purchase from me until it's not an exclusive if they pull that crap.
I've got more than enough games to keep my occupied for the year or so before it comes to other pc store fronts if it is though.

Alright, i have bought the complete edition on gog a while ago. On gog there was a different version of the game than on steam, but i could deal with it since i was able to downgrade the game via gog galaxy to the same version as on steam, as i mentioned here ->

So i was able to play with people who bought the game on steam. But recently i had to reinstall windows, downloaded the game again and then i noticed this ->

They removed the version 1.0i from gog galaxy, there was no chance to play with steam users anymore. Because i like this game so much and also wanted to be able to play with my friends, i bought it again on steam.
OP quoted the post of Bugbear, that promised a patch that never got released until this day. I am disappointed, seriously.
Bugbear, please finally fix this!
