Mac version?
Currently without my windows PC and would like to play this game on Mac. Nearly every single Valve game including Source and GoldSrc games are ported to Mac, so what's taking Sven so long?

I think is just for win and linux

HL was released before the intel mac era.

Q: What about Mac? Can I play it on that?
A: While this possibly is doable through an emulation layer, like Wine, native compatibility with MacOS is quite a way down on our to-do list.


Currently only Windows and Linux systems are supported natively. You can run Sven Co-op through a compatibility layer such as Wine or using Valve's modified version Proton.

Apple deprecated OpenGL API[web.archive.org] in favor of their proprietary implementation Metal API[web.archive.org] and they may remove OGL entirely in future:

Okay, somehow I got this thing downloaded on my Mac and I have no way to play it.
I did not use Wine or an emulator to obtain it. How did this happen?

Steam being a cocktease. The options for this are definitely turned off in our Steamworks application so this shouldn't happen.
