Destruction is awful
This really gets on my nerves. The whole next gen destruction is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I have no problems with the explosion particles.They look good, but the destruction is horrible. First of all if you can run the game you will realize that when you take down/Blow up structures, most of the parts/Pieces or whatever disappears as soon as blown. Now i know that if every single piece of the structure stayed it would kill fps. But this game just takes it too far, and the problem is that %90 of the game is destruction. The best example is the towers that you can take down buy blowing up the fan things. I was so hyped for this game and this dissapointment just kills me. The destruction is just terrible, even in cutscenes.

You can thank are little freinds called consoles, This games clearly a console port from the piss poor object LOD to the god awful jaggies, If you game on a high end rig you must hate gaming lately.

I no what you mean it's cool to watch a bridge exploded but less funny when half the bridge vanishes in front on your eyes then come back a second later and the bridge is magical rebuilt.

I've noticed that a lot with next gen destruction almost everthing is brittle as paper and is strong as a tooth pick, try this in a town have Reco walk into a lamp post enjoy.

Try red faction guerilla if you want good destruction. That game was build on destruction, the entire engine is build around that concept.

I actually enjoy the gameplay but I'm not very picky about this sort of thing. What ticks me off is that the devs released this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ alpha build that I can't play properly for the stutter. -.-

even red faction guerilla and armageddon had tons of disappearing objects. whenever you destroyed something or hammered on it every single object would disappear. and this one is still quite impressive with stuff intact still being influenced by physics. even less annoying than in rf imo and lots of stuff to destroy too.

I don't think you got me. I don't care if the parts disappier once they hit the ground. They disappier before they hit the ground. The model of the structure just changes to a exploded one. Like in ARMA 3.

Hoooolllllddddd up! How come when I and (if you watch it) Nerd Cubed are able to move around physical objects after they explode in pieces. I think you've just got a buggy PC!

Lets you blew up a tower. Instead of the whole thing falling down some pieaces will disappier as soon as the structure takes damage.

As good as the explosions look, I found myself wanting to play Red Faction. Tearing down structures in that game was neat as hell. You do kind of get a bit of that in JC3 when tether pulling guard towers.

it would look like KF2 does when you raise the limit of bodys xD that would probably hurt the Gameplay more than the FPS since after 5 sec no vehicle could move when they burried under trash

I even put a video as an example. I will say it again. I do not care about the pieces on the ground. They should disappier and if they did not fps would die. But the problem is that when you blow things up the model changes. Please just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get it. The whole structure just disappiers and small parts are replaced. Guard towers look cool, model does not get replaced. Structure goes into physical mode which is awesome.

Imagine in lkf2 that when you shoot zeds their limbs disappier instead of falling on the ground. That is what happens in JC3. Instead of zeds its structures.

as the others said Red Faction Guerrilla has impressive destruction mechanics however a lot of rinse and repeat going on as well. worth the price though imo

I blew up many radio mast towers and at least 50% of it fell down to ground level and was still interactable.

same for me. also speakers fall to the ground too before disappearing. i really dont have a problem with that.
