controller
truer words have not been spoken. this game was bound to flop
And that's not even taking into account the fact there's one last bullcrap sharp turn that has a 0.01% chance that you'll make it without crashing into the grassy area next to it turning the F1 car's handling and speed into nothing and of course making you waste those last precious couple of seconds that you have to get the 5th gear.
Needless to say the car handling is utter trash.
And that's only one driving challenge, there's another with a jump aimed at a gas station and a CLIFF EDGE with the road of course being another sharp turn.
In any case other people were correct, the driving is 100x better when you use a controller.
Personally this is the only thing so far that seems console port-like to me, otherwise I'm enjoying the game perfectly fine with no real gripes. I play for explosions, the grappling hook and wingsuit flying and that's exactly what I get. I just wish the beacon limit wasn't freaking tied to car upgrades (and of course the driving with keyboard and mouse didn't suck,) that's non-sensical.
There's nothing based on skill when sometimes when you try to turn it turns exactly like you want it to, sometimes when you try to turn it spins out and sometimes when you try to turn it goes farther than you actually held the key for and so you slam into a wall and waste 5 seconds backing up.
My point still stands that keyboard and mouse driving needs tweaking. As in it needs to be digital control instead of analog. With analog steering it makes cars into boats, tanks into bigger boats, and boats into boats without steering wheels.
