Sky Fortress Release FAQ and tips

Welcome to The Sky Fortress Expansion pack (part of the Air, Land and Sea expansion pass). If you own the pass then you’ll be able to play Sky Fortress as of today (The pack will be on general sale from 15th of March). Below are a few frequently asked questions which we have answered as well as some tips for taking it to the Danger Zone in your new bavarium wingsuit.

FAQ
1. The first Sky Fortress mission is unlocked after completing the JC 3 mission “A terrible reaction”.
2. If you have progressed beyond the mission “A terrible reaction”, Sheldon should contact you regarding a situation and the mission icon for “Suit up” should appear on your map.
3. The original game can be played with your new Bavarium Wingsuit.
4. Wall boost. Reel in to any surface then press and hold the Wingsuit button for a boost jump.
5. Medici S.A.M.s will be able to lock on to your new Wingsuit but missiles can be evaded with a barrel roll.
6. If Rico takes a hit and starts to fall, press the Wingsuit button to do a quick recover.
7. Hold the air brake to perform tight turns.
8. You can boost while holding the air brake to fly straight upwards.
9. About to crash into a wall? Hold the air brake to bounce off it.
10. Evade flak clouds by barrel rolling.
11. Suit up (or down)! Switch at any time between the regular Wingsuit and the Bavarium Wingsuit in the Options menu.
12. Wingsuit skins only work with the default Wingsuit and not the Bavarium Wingsuit.
13. Boost from the ground or the water by pressing and holding the Wingsuit button.
14. Finding the going a bit tough? Play some new Wingsuit challenges and unlock some mods for your new Bavarium Wingsuit.

BAVARIUM WINGSUIT TIPS (written for a game pad so please adjust to your configuration)

With the new wingsuit equipped, there’s a number of new skills and abilities available to Rico, making him far more lethal when airborne.

i) BOOST – tapping RT will thrust Rico through the air
ii) AIR BRAKES – hit LT to slow Rico in the hair, perfect for sharp turns and navigating tight spaces
iii) BARREL ROLLS – hitting Y and a direction will prompt Rico to barrel roll in that direction, handy for evading trouble at a moment’s notice.
iv) WALL JUMPS – well timed use of the new airbrakes (LT) before making contact with a wall will allow Rico to brace against that surface, at which point tapping Y will prompt Rico to boost off again
v) TAKE OFF FROM WATER – hold Y from water to take off from the surface of water. This eliminates the need to find land/a boat to grapple to when stranded in water.

By completing Challenges unlocked by liberating the Sky Fortress, Rico can upgrade his wingsuit, reducing the cool-down on his boost and weapons, and adding additional missiles to his launcher.

You forgot one frequently asked question: "Why don't I have access to the dlc yet". Lots of people cant even download it right now. On the end of the 8th March. Which is the release date as you said.

*Edit* When I go to the storepage of skyfortress, it says I have to wait till March 15. I got the season pass since release. Why can't I download it ?

I bought the season pass which gives me access today march 8th. I played it very early this morning around 2 am and had no problems getting the new content etc. However now its 1030 am and its saying that the dlc is not installed and I cant reinstall it until march 15th can I get some help please

This. Please address this issue, a lot of us are extremely frustrated.

Where is the DLC, I own the season pass and it faild to download earlier so I Uninstalled the game and now it doesn't install or register thst I bought it

Seems like a common issue today. The only thing you can do about it is wait.

Bet it will be released 11:59pm so people can't say it didnt release on release-date ^^

same here, its in my library but it won't download or play and says i have to wait till the 15th.

does it matter that i already completed the entire game ( 4 days after release, been waiting for content eversince )

i have been looking all over my ( blue conquered islands ) but nothing new seemed to have appeared.

Also no magical Fairy Skycastle hidden in the clouds .....

It does not. I also completet the game long ago. Its only not "out" yet. Or maybe it was out for a few hours and then taken down again (which would explain why people have a hard time reinstalling the game). So we gotta be patient..
