Game crash in REPCONN test site

When you get the quest from Jason (REPCONN test site) to drive away evil spirits from the basement, when I try to enter the basement the game closes to the desktop, there is no error message. Anyone had something similar? The game simply won't load the basement.

I had the same problem, I figured the game was running out of memory so I downloaded the 4GB patch for NV and it worked fine.
