We have this running in-house on a LAN, although there's not much multiplayer code other than "everybody runs the same colony together right now" - there's no concept, for instance, of "this building belongs to this player, so I can set it on fire if I want." There is also no support for NAT punching or Steam matchmaking, but these are the major obstacles to getting a first test build of the Netcode out and seeing how it works. We'll keep you posted.
Thanks for the info though.
I've trimmed my EA purchases back significantly the last couple of years from running into some disappointments—one big reason I haven't snatched up Clockwork Empires yet, either. Fortunately, I'm not someone who gives half a hoot about multiplayer, but it's still falling into the "wait and watch" category for me. Here's hoping that I end up seeing enough to take the plunge at some point, because I do love me some of that concept.
