Infection rate too high?
You take pills and after 3mins, the infection comes back again, isn't that abit too harsh?

It's meant to be harsh, and you can't get infected unless your health gets low, I don't know exactly where though.

3 minutes is still quite a long time, plenty of time for you to really savor the time you have left. This time should be used to either look around for more pills or run through the final objectives more quickly in objective mode, or to use the 3 minutes to kill enough zombies to gain a respawn token in survival mode so you can die and respawn infection-free.

Mostly correct. In survival mode you can try to kill enough zombies for getting a respawn token and objective maps are not really that long. Making the time longer would take the threat by infection. As a correction: You can always get infected even with just one bite of a zombie. Health is no protection.

It's not harsh. L2P

Honestly most of the people that get infected are the ones that play the game like L4D and charge zombies (and I'm one of them) but usaly people die of zombies first (75%) rather than dieing of infection.

Not sure what l4d have to do with you being infected more often because I played l4d and I rarely get infected. The chance of being infected is low with melee weapons. Choose fireaxe. Light weight and usually a one hit kill. Sledhe hammer take up space.

Well im just saying some people play this game like L4D and rush the zombies, therefore getting infected twices as often as people who engage 1 zombie at a time or shoot them from a distance.

There seriously need to be an indication that someone is infected. Also, the the infection % rate needs to be decreased OR pills should have a much larger spawn count.

People who aren't able to obtain fire arms/good melee weapons/health items, early on find themselves at a disadvantage and vulernable to Z attacks. You then are much more likely to become infected (usually leading to a major RAGE attack)

Seems like I either have pills when I never need them, or never have them when I'm actually infected (can't find them at that point due to item hording usually). But how is someone else supposed to know you need pills? Alot of people don't use mics, text type, or they are from a non-english speaking country.

And often the case you won't even last five minutes. Your low on HP usually, and unless you have pills, are going on a search for some, (rarely finding any). At this point one, or two more hits takes you down; causing the infection to occur. You then usually lose all of your items 4/5 times from someone who takes the majority of your equipment.

Its bad enough when your wounded and no bandages can be found.

IDEA: Make pills rare and only in locked storage, but make them CURE the infection.

Three guns with full ammo? Seems like not much left for your teammates then, unless your talking about later waves.

And yeah if I get through a couple rounds I'm usually fine. But if you join a session mid-game, say wave 2-3, then you are often left with no items to pick up, except a hammer. Leading to a quick death.

Again I think pills should cure infection (get rid of tokens at that point). Players joining mid-game should also start with a basic melee weapon (knife, wrench ect.)

Actually the fireaxe takes up just as much space as the sledgehammer, almost a whole third of your inventory.

+1, since there's no point killing infected survivors because a runner is very easy to kill, having a telltale sign that someone's green might be nice to drop spare pills for him if you're feeling kind.

Others might use this to just kill infected individuals on sight just because zombies.

A majority of the melee weapons are quite useful, I personally find 7 out of 10 melee's to be worth having. If you really were happen to end up with nothing, it's vital to stick with others and let them be your meatshield.

When players are in spectator it's often all about "comeondiealready Iwannaplay", they rarely realize that they're sitting in a great position, they have the ability to scout the -entire- map to gain information where things are. I always scout around for convenient weapons that I can use the moment I respawn on next wave.

I don't think there's any problem with how pills work, they actually do tend to lay around in almost any corner from what I've noticed. When you get the hang of combat enough you won't really need pills that often because even if you get infected at the start of a wave you can still scrounge up 20 kills for a token.
Pills should only really be used if you don't enough time to get that token.
But I do agree that tokens are somewhat too easy to get and could use some rework.

I like the idea of spawning with a low grade melee weapon, but considering how often players die would it not clog up the places with melee weapons that no one wants to use?
