If you want to join a server
Right click on it the see the properties and copy the server IP
and then press ~ on your keyboard and use the command Dimitri gave you
"connect and then server IP"
Making a server is very easy. It's basically the same as any Source-based game that doesn't have a peer-2-peer functionality (like L4D). Follow the guide that Wazanator provided. If you don't know how to port forward your router, then check on Youtube. There are thousands of detailed tutorials there.
