Fallout 3 keeps crashing everytime I start the game.
When I first got the game it crashed very quickly, Then once my computer got cleaned I could play a small amount up to the point where you are a baby then yet again it crashes, I would like it if you could fix this problem.

I'm having the same issue. I was running fine, about 30minuets in, decided to change some mods, and it dies at launch. Won't even get to the main menu. I've done 4 reinstalls and nothing...

My new vegas runs completely fine and I even have game of the year addition on fallout 3 but it still crashes even though my morrowind runs completely fine and its older then fallout 3

Yeah, same... FNV and Skyrim run fine, but this doesn't get through the intro screen. Crashes as the second "slide" comes up.

My Fallout 3 GOTY crashes whenever i click on the button to start a new game. Skyrim and New Vegas also work fine for me. I submitted a message to Bathesda.

You just heve to read sticked thread. Every problem is already solved for you there.
And stop making threads without searhing for solution first.

Lots of fixes, Mods can cause crashes. But the game isn't made too run on Windows 7/8/10 etc

sticked thread?

I don't know if this will help but I just fixed my copy and got it working.
I did the .ini thing and that fixed exactly nothing. I tried changing the settings and or some reason the game would load in windowed mode which was effectively useless to enjoy gameplay.
I tried setting the game launcher and actual game .exe to run as admin and same issues.
My PC is not all that fantastic but I do have a GTX680 (probably the most modern part of my PC which is saying something).
Shut down, went to work. Thought about the settings on my way home this afternoon and remember reading somewhere that it had to do with the graphics settings and my 2 monitors.
I opened the NVIDIA GeForce Experience application and navigated to Games (generally the first thing you see). I changed the setting to optimise gameplay for Fallout 3 and BAM! the game works now. and it works well.
Hopefully this can help somebody having the same issues, and I'm sorry if it doesnt and I got your hopes up.

TLDR; attempted the usual fixes found via google (.ini, run as admin) > Rebooted PC > Opened NVIDIA GeForce Experience > Optimised Fallout 3 gameplay > Game runs fine.

I tried everything in the sticky thread and all the other tweaks I could find online. Still dies at launch. This is that Event Veiwer says is happening:

I really am not looking forward to trying out Steams new refund policy, but I don't know what else to try. Nothing else is bugging out. Ran chkdsk, ran memtest, ran mbam and combofix, updated everything... STALKER works, FNV works, Skyrim, WoT, GTA...
