freezing / crashing in andale

every time i enter any house in andale the game crashes after 5 seconds .. any help guys?

I'm not sure if this will help but try downloading the unofficial patch from the Fallout 3 Nexus. It's helped my brother who got crashes all over the game, hope that helps!

Well they sure make it difficult to find. Click "Creat Account" at the bottom of the page. ♥♥♥♥ this is the whole reason I avoided d/l this patch. Now I hope it helps my game from freezing too. (Are you listening Bethesda? Can you maybe have a look at this issue?)

no. they are long gone, working on something else. it's been years since the game came out.
while you guys are at it, you might as well dl the other patches BenWah suggests in the fallout 3 guide. CASM is a must have for me from now on. fose and the 4gb as well.

Gamer30, PLEASE advise if that patch helps you with this freezing or not. I have done everything related in Benwahs guide, Step 4, the 4 gig, disabling desktop composition, even MANUALLY limiting the comp to 2 cores, this thing still freezes crashes completely at random. Thought I had this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ licked but its back with a vengence.

are you letting the game make auto-saves?

No, no auto-saves, no quick saves, MANUALLY saving to a new slot literaly every hundred feet or so. Only changes to my system as of last night, some Win secuity updates and a new monitor.

I spend more time redoing stuff than if I wouldn't save so often. I left this game on for 14.5 hours last night, was still running when I came back, Today I only played for a little while, 15 minutes and a crash. No reason or pattern to it at all.
