Is it just me or is the flashlight useless?

Even though I lowered the brightness of the game, I still don't use the flashlight because it gives almost no light at all. Is it just me or are all these light sources kinda useless in this game?

Yes. I agree. I found myself using the glow stick whenever I needed light or the blue hue when crouching and standing still. Almost never lit up lanterns either.

Glowstick is way brighter in this one, though the flashlight drains less. In Black Plague, the light of the glowstick is FAR dimmer, flashlight is brighter, and drains more.

i know this is an old discussion, but I have found that when i started playing everything was super dark, i went into the options to see what all could be changed, (not just brightness) and found that my resolution was at the lowest setting. So i matched the game's resolution to my monitor, reset the game, and found that when I continued, everything was much much brighter. I pretty much never used any of the light sources in the game except to get a better look at something.
