why does rivals 2 ocassionally have stutters when launched?

is this common and can I fix it permanently? only happens on my windows 10 rig. my windows 11 computer doesn't have this problem, but the windows 11 computer does have a large random grey square to the left of the display when I play rivals 2. I did remember rivals 1 had a similar stutter issue with some input mode

for weird stutters and shader loading make sure your graphics drivers are updated and then reset the vram cache in your gpu software. i had this problem for a long time and this fixed most of the issues, but the game in general suffers from poor performance (unreal engine moment)

There is a current thread on the Discord that mentions that the most recent Nvidia driver (566.36, released in December 2024) has a severe issue with Unreal Engine 5 games while the Game Photo/Filter feature is enabled, and you should disable this feature in the Nvidia desktop app (the control center that replaced Geforce Now).
