Still a bit suspicious where it comes from. Now what I don't get is that they would decide to 'fix' the tilt boost buffer tech just days after GimR makes a video showcasing it, and Dan Fornace even republished the video on twitter.. so it would seem a bit weird that they're fixing a bug that makes a hard tech easier, and especially with the wording used makes it sus. The wording used on Orcanes nerfs as well seem out of character
Im excited overall even though my character is getting a lot of nerfs
Also tilt boosting will remain, just the easy way to do it will be gone
Some of the stuff said about Orcane, like him having a good recovery, don't even make sense. What part of Orcane's recovery is good? The side B that has a hurtbox appear for the opponent to spike before it has a hitbox and gives the opponent a full second to react to it with no timing mixup? The up B that doesn't have a hitbox? Orcane is the easiest character to spike in the entire game on current patch, and now he takes 15 frames longer to grab ledge?
i can't believe they nerfed zetters spikes in a game where recovery is already amazing, you were going to recover anyways like wtf.
They nerfed recoveries. Also the game is still new, this is the first patch post release. Relax.
Play kragg, orcane, fleet, or wrastor if you want to gimp at 0 ig
Also those patch notes would be the death of the game if you ask me. they sound like they will prevent campy game play but in reality they will just promote it. if you nerf all the stuff on most chars that was actually great to put pressure on shields and counter the shield grab meta, people will just do it more.
anyone who praises these patch notes does not understand the meta at all. but thats just my take.
I don't think every character should have good shield pressure.. Zetter's shines still have good data, and his sweet spot dair / fair still does alot of shield stun. Same with fors clone exploasion, bair and dair. If you wanna play aggresssive, play the fire characters, (Except for lox)
its nice that you think that. but with no nerfs to either shield nor shield grab, that means that chars with no good shield pressure will just camp. So yes, every char needs good/save shield pressure in a game where shield and shield grab is insanely strong IF you don't want people to camp.
you don't stop people from camping by making their campy options slightly worse as long as they are still their strongest options. you just make the char worse.
Shield grab is not a strong tool, you can prevent it by spacing better. The general consensus on reddit is that they are real. Of the 45k views only 100-200 people have suggested they don't believe it.
Spot dodge is getting a nerf as well which is a huge tool for people holding shield.
