Report a translation problem
I've done the same with RockSmith 1. It was like a bad joke waiting the download to be done.
pc and mac disk and cable from amazon 67.99 right now both disks in box
I installed RS1 from disc and it only downloaded the updates. Entering the code too early in the install process seems to cause retail games to download rather than being installed from the physical disc (this happened to me with Skyrim, for example).
Valve's retail games that go through Steam do this, and other companies (like Bethesda and newer Gearbox) games do it as well. I'm pretty sure it's the norm. (Other games referenced: The Orange Box and the Portal retail copies, Duke Nukem Forever, and RAGE.)
