progress is not saved

lvl, completed locations and even control settings are not saved after re-entering the game

Anyone else got issues w saving?

I reached Matthew Patel and then decided to return to map, as the menu said "all progress will be auto saved". now im at the map and i cant go anywhere beyond the frozen suburbs, which is the first level. why cant i go to the shopping district? i reached it didnt i? am i doing something wrong or is this a bug? if i gotta replay the whole section im gonna feel really stupid

Probably an issue with your save files. this game dosent have cloud saving (im pretty sure) and might have caused an issue

Are you running it on Windows or another OS? Was the game exited through the menus or Alt+F4? If you were playing online, IIRC the progress isn't saved the same way as playing single player. It's kinda complicated though.

OS is Windows 10, exited always through the menu, always online and shows the autosave icon

It might be because you may have quit the game mid-stage. I think you might have to exit from the world map in order for it to save.

Hmm, it is odd. Your configuration changes should still be changing. All I can suggest is starting a new game, making a short amount of progress, quitting from the map. If it still doesn't save then obviously something's very wrong, I'm just not sure what.

I played 4 hours, maybe less? i start a new game about 3 times and progress always gone somewhere
i can only finish the game in one session aaand i think its wrong

I'm having the same issue. I've defeated the first boss then I quit the game. When i get back saw the issue: No progress at all or the changes I did in the settings.

Played again. Beat the first Boss then I quit to the menu from the Map. Then I choose to play the history again to check if the progress was there (without quitting the game) and yes, it was there.. BUT: I quit the game again. Restart it and all gone again...

Dunno what could it be, saddly. I'm using Win10 and never had an issue like that in other games.

in my case problem in the win 10 account name, its gotta be on english

so you can change it with console which is not safe for the system or make a new one with english name

Yea. My problem was the same. I had a "weird ascii" character in the user folder mame but I manage to change it without much trouble, following a guide.

My only lil problem now, is the 'double tap' setting to run, only applying to the player one controller/gamepad. The other players only have the other option by default, and it's a lil annoying sometimes.

Besides that, it's a pretty neat classic beat em up, that i've been waiting for over a decade to come to Steam xD

i still can't play with the controller, even the guide doesn't help. but yeah, its good that the game is finally out on PC

I saw a lot of people having problems with that. In my case, with the Steam Controller Support, I can even play with some cheap gamepads with no prob (besides de 'double tap issue').

Have you tried using Steam Controller Support? And there's a guide around that could help you, using a 3rd party app aswell.
