Amazing game, poor porting.
This port is awful as stepping ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the morning. Stay away. Seriously.

If u want to play it get it on old consoles if you have one or get an emulator running and play the original version the vanilla game is fantastic and it plays soo good.
But this remastering is crap besides it lacks basic Steam features such as controller support. Plus it doesn't have Steam achievements nor trading cards. What a way to kill the hype.

Thanks for reaching out.

As this thread has gone off topic, it'll be locked from here on.

The game does support controllers.

If you're still having issues using your controller at all, please refer to our thread here on advice to resolve this.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World does not support Steam Achievements or Trading Cards.

Please feel free to reach back out with any other queries.

Thank you!

Outside of PC specific issues, the "complete edition" has its own share of issues, like 1GB vs ~250MB from original with both DLC, and updates. There is also a wrong button prompt in one of the move lists, and a graphic glitch not present in original. But original also had its graphic glictches not present in this XD

Oh no, not Steam achievements or god forbid TRADING CARDS! How will I survive without these things that don't impact the GAMEPLAY!? I really needed those literal nickels and dimes the cards might have been worth!

I wonder why when someone wants to go againts you they pick the smallest nuisance to base their argument.
You cannot use a controller. It impacts not only the gameplay but the whole thing itself cause you can't play.

Moron.

I am using a controller just fine, along with many others. Try troubleshooting your issues instead of crying on the forums and insulting strangers on the internet.

Why are you green texting on a site that has proper quotes??? I don't need to own the steam version, it's literally the same as the Uplay one in that you have to launch it from there anyway and my controller works just fine there. I am the moron but you are the one who can't figure out how to get your controller working on this game lmao

It has controller support it using Xbox input.

Steam controller warpper for God's know why is preset to using keyboard inputs by the devs, most games that give controller support default to using controller input, but not this game, I tested it myself, and can confirm.

Steam > library > right click on game > manage > controller layout

Now edit each button to controller, not keyboard and mouse that be your problem right there.

that is a blatant lie. controllers work completely fine. it defaults to keyboard input which is dumb, but the game itself has controller support.

^This.

Either turn off Steam input, or fix Steam controller layout to using gamepad layout that it suppose to be using, idk why devs have it set to keyboard layout for gamepad.

Either turn off Steam input, or fix Steam controller layout to using gamepad layout that it suppose to be using, idk why devs have it set to keyboard layout for gamepad.

By default: Steam Input will choose either the Gamepad or Keyboard/Mouse template depending on the store page's tags.

If the game doesn't have a "Full/Partial Controller Support" tag: it'd use a KB/M Template. You usually see it whenever you played a much, much older game or a KB/M-only game like the strategy or RTS.

If a game has a "Full/Partial Controller Support" tag: then it will default to a Gamepad template.

Game Developers has a option to override it and provide their own config (check Steam Input documents if you like to learn more), if they so wish.

In this particular case: Ubisoft forgot to put a "Controller Support" tag on the store page, thus: Steam Input will choose a KB/M config for you.

This affect other Ubisoft titles that also forgot to put a tag, even Rayman Legends has that exact issue...and I found that out while starting it on Steam Deck.

EDIT: it seems that Ubisoft/Engine Software might've solved the problem now, it seems that it now defaults to the Recommended Config? Can't entirely confirm it.

Geez I didn't even notice that, anyways they can still fix that, so not sure what stopping them to begin with.

UPDATE: looks like Ubisoft/Engine Software (PC port devs?) solved the problem.

For Steam Input users: It now defaults to a Recommended Config (aka dev assigned), assuming the player haven't made any changes since the Steam launch.

At least it makes thing easier for future players.

Good to hear, thanks for giving heads up.

I never really understood the love for this game to begin with. I played it on the PS3, didn't enjoy it.

I am however finding this forum to be welcome popcorn material.

Maybe because some people like it, and enjoy it, just food for thought.
