Yeeees fix the zombies :overkill: :balloon: :sword: :csgox:
No more zombies running and spotting you trough walls would be great
fix the zombie pls, improve gameplay and after focus on add more object pls!
fixing zombs would be great :agathacross::csgoanarchist::csgoskull::emocompy::emofdr::gcwindow::dallas::hoxton::wolf:
Here's an ideer for an imparative fix; collision for zombies! A lot of us are tired of walkers running through objects and walls when they aggro. This has been an ongoing problem since the game launched in alpha.
Sincerely;
Cosmo.
PS: Keep up the good work.
WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING.
All the people who don't really realize what they've bought (or don't want to) and who are complaining about stuff missing or broken, should watch this video (and others) of Hall talking about their roadmap for the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jylWS8QiMks But instead of watching this or reading other stuff about the development they probably just go to the next forum and cry about not having enough guns, cars and glitchy zombies... Which is all worked on and takes time (you go and rebuild almost an entire game-engine). Just enjoy the updates that do roll out, no matter how small. That's probably the most fun (and purpose) of buying a game in Alpha stage..
Vechiles cant be glitchy if they are not implemented yet :P
is any of this in experimental branch atm
can you please fix. Random gear wipes, when join another server.
I just want to see zombies not being able to run through walls.
Ok, let's try this in simpler terms: Imagine writing a program for a robot that gives the robot the ability to distinguish walls from open space without running into the wall. It's the same concept for videogame AI. Every time some new dynamic of a structure is added the zombies AI structure would have to be programmed to interact with it. There's a clear cut fix for this by simply giving the zombies a snipet of code which doesn't allow them to be within a certain distance of objects such as walls. However, they would also need a counter-operation in the loop which moves the zombies away from the wall. This is very complicated engineering. The quick fix I would suggest is simply giving the zombie AI an aspect of not allowing them to be within a certain distance of other snipets of code (such as walls), but the unforseen circumstance of this which often occurs is that many other objects have the same snipets of code. This would in turn render the zombies as useless as a walking tree.
My major problem isn't with this gaming corporation, or this game. My problem is the entire game development community. Engineering principles 1101: Alpha testing is internal testing involving only knowledgeable individuals within the development team, Closed Beta is still internal testing of the finished product, Open Beta testing is when the DEVELOPER pays INDIVIDUALS outside of the the company to test their product for usability, then you have your finished product available for paying customers' use. When in the world did it become okay for the gaming community to break away from these principles and call what is an open beta alpha testing? And when in the world did we start paying for our input? That's like paying the company you work for to let you work for them. It's extortion in my eyes, and unethical engineering practice.
DayZ's map is in Russia. Where the AK's? the M4 is not supposed to be there...
