blurry vision after getting hit
anytime I get hit by a zombie my vision goes blurry and doesn't correct - it just stays blurry. Note: I do not take any damage, so I am not bleeding or hurt. I can correct it by going into video settings. Once I bring up video settings, the screen goes back to clear (20/20) vision.

one last thing...I don't have to mess with my video settings -- it just autocorrects when I bring up the video setting screen.

to fix your blurry vision... blurry means that your health is low, you must eat and drink alot to see healthy icon, and energized... look it up on youtube for a more detailed explination.

I guess last commenter didn't understand the problem, It happens to me as well, when I get hit, my screen not only get blurry but the quality of the picture drops down significantly and what I do I just go to settings and after that click on video, just that, I dont change anything, just click on video button and this brings back good quiality and blur gets away.

Exactly...same thing happens to me. No damage, I'm not injured. Once I go into video settings it corrects and I am good to go. But it is a pain if I get hit a few times in a couple of minutes.

Same here. Having to click into configure video during combat situations is complete nonsense. If anyone finds a fix please let me know.

I get the bug too. and everything you need to know is here in this post. If you are hurt. your blood level is low. your vision distortion is like your health meter. Thats how you know. So when you're hurt, you're going to stay this way until you get hydrated/energized (doubles your healing rate. this is not instant) or you use a saline bag (a friend has to use it on you, and it is instant.)

this is not what they're talking about. The bug is when you log in, or sometimes when you get hit, your vision will get stuck that way even though YOU ARE NOT HURT. to correct this, you have to go into options, click render options, and then just back out. Soon as you click, you should see your vision return to normal in the back ground.

Blood and Health are 2 seperate values. Blood loss causes desaturation (loss of color) and health loss will make your screen blurry. Your screen will stay blurry until you eat enough food to have a bright "energized" icon and drink enough fluid to have a "hydrated" icon, and have full blood. Your health will only regenerate when you've met those 3 requirements. You know your health is regenerating when you see the "healing" icon. It's at max when you get the "healthy icon."

Try enabling Vsync
Yes, it's nothing to do with being hurt at all.
I have green energized and hydrated, not bleeding, no fractures, nothing. But the screen blurs as if the post process has been turned way up or something.
As soon as I bring up graphics options, I see the screen in the background clear.
I played for 2 hours with the screen blurry, thinking I was hurt. I wasn't. Immediately as I opened the graphics options to try and get it to look better, I noticed it clear in the background.
It's a bug, obviously. Nothing at all to do with the damage you have taken from the hit, unless it's supposed to quickly blur and then clear again and it's not clearing?

The problem here is neither of those however.

Common problem. Hit Esc and go to your Video Settings screen to fix it temporarily (until you close/open the game again).

Some people speculate that it's yet ANOTHER undocumented (things in DayZ not being documented or user friendly? Say it isn't so!) status affect but I've gotten it when I have a new spawn. When I'm healthy. When I'm not bleeding but my screen is almost b/w because of _another_ undocumented status affect, which is low blood (makes your screen turn almost fully black and white.) So looking at that, it's unlikely that it's a status affect and more likely that it's just one more of about a thousand bugs in LagZ.
