Just died because of Quickslot bug

The quickslot sometimes simply dont work. I had an machete in my bag layed to my quickslot bar. I shot at a guy, a zombie got triggered towards me, machete didnt went to my hands. Every other quickslot worked. GG behomia. I died from an headshot.

If you don't have inventory space to put away your weapon it will only cycle through what you are carrying on your back.

Let me guess, you were carrying three long weapons, those were cycling through the slots on your back alright, but you didn't have enough space to put it in your clothes and swap to the machete?

The quickslot bar is a good indicator of what you can cycle through. If a slot gets red it means you can't cycle through that item because you are carrying too much.

Thank you didnt know about the red slot. But it WAS placed in my back b4 i had enough space indeed. I always pulled it out of my bag

The problem is not the machete, is the three weapons you are carrying. If you have say a Mosin and a shotty on your back and you are carrying a M4, unless you have enough space in your storage to place one of those weapons you can only cycle through those three, because one will have to stay in your hands at all times.

Maybe you had enough space, but it takes a single item you pick up to prevent you to store the weapon again.

I didnt i had an huntsman rifle and an scorpion on my back. I wanted to put the huntsman (cz) back on my back pulling the machete out. Further i didnt picked up anything other stuff worked like the other weapon on my back.
