I personally wish everyone played DayZ this way...
The development is moving away from its military sim roots, literally from swords to plowshares, and people who play for the deathmatch will get bored eventually and thin out. RP is going to explode soon with the release of group activities (Vehicles, farming). We're slowly collecting the tools to transform DayZ into something the mod's mods were very close to achieving (But limited by the engine).
It just means that you don't break immersion when interacting with other people.
Its not really satisfying to kill a zombie, but most people in here would say that it is satisfying killing another player. Its all about the way the game is heading... its a alfa stage game where the dev team would like our opinions, and ideas to developing the game. Personally i think this is heading towards a CoD deathmatch game and not a survivalist game. When i started playing Dayz i was friendly (like in real life :-) ) , but after getting nailed over and over again by KOS players i became one myself. The only way to survive the longest.
Role playing where everything is planned ahead is not my kop of tea. The exsitement will drop...
