I want the apocalyptic feel and the Kriss Vector doesn't give it. I don't want the most modern guns because it destroys the point of DayZ, and people who want guns like this generally just want to KoS, which is not the point...

IRL the Kriss Vector is a rare and expensive gun, its not likely you wuould find one in a post appocalype world. Its better to have guns that were made by the millions like AKs, M4s, bolt action rifles, pistols, and maybe a LMGs like the M60 and PKM.
