Sakhal: boats
OK, so played around a bit, and as much as boats can be fun in the game, a few thoughts and requests for the developers and player base.

1 - please add cargo stowage. I'm sat in an almost empty RIB and I can't put even rucksacks on the floor, or use the boat if I have a wooden crate in my hands? It doesn't have to be massive amounts of storage.

2 - petrol gauge. The red/yellow indicator is useful, but on most engines like this, you take the cap off, peek in, and guesstimate how much fuel you have if you don't actually have a fuel gauge for real. Not a big issue but it would be nice to know how close to full your fuel tank is, it might encourage me to keep on filling it up to the top. You have the mechanism, graphics and animation from cars to use.

3 - alternate methods of propulsion - oars and/or paddles. Ok this is trickier as it involves new items (craftable or looted) plus an animation) but why not? OK it would be slow, use up your energy etc, but it's what you can do in real life. Yes, it would allow other players to borrow your boat even if you take the spark plug out, so...

4 - allow boats to be locked to a pier or pilings with 3/4 number locks, or camo nets attached to hide them.

5 - dug out canoes? Go on, humour me.

1 - i guess this is by design. they could add some attachments slots for drysacks maybe.

2 - dark orange fuel symbol indicates its low on gas. theres no tachometer like cars have, so it shouldnt show u the exact amount of gas.

3 - this would be a ton of work for just a small feature of the whole game. im sure they have other tasks.

4 - sounds like a troll mechanism. people will find a combination lock and randomy lock the next boat they see and never think about it again. using camonets or whatever would be nice (also for cars).

Thank you etwas, your point 4 about randoms locking 'free' boats so they can't be used is a very valid one, locks are a bad idea then.

The fuel one wasn't a biggy, I'd just like to know when my tank was getting full somehow :-)

Yeah, i don't understand why you can't carry cargo, I do understand they
don't want the boats to be too OP but.. Pretty annoying not to be able to
even drop a backpack/drysack on the floor of it.
Kinda breaks immersion as well.
Should have been a jetski, not a Zodiac.

Dugout canoes...MMM.
Well we have logs, we have sharp tools like hatchets and axes
and we have fire.
Maybe the modding community can help.
