Melee with Firearms

One of the most basic changes from the Mod that were promised to come to Alpha was the ability to melee with firearms. As of now, you can punch with basically every existing items in your hand and commit suicide with half of them, but after 5 years, you still have to drop your gun to be able to hit somebody in melee.

As I am fairly certain that this basic feature was simply forgotton for some reason, I would like to remind the Devs of it. It is good that need to know how to defend against a man armed with a banana, but the ability to punch while holding a gun is still needed.

A dedicated "melee-button" would be great for that.

yeah, both a simple button to make a melee attack and a button to switch from ranged to melee mode would do, as long as you have any option. The best option would of course be if it would also be possible to throw certain melee weapons, spears, axes, hammers, stones and such, but a humble buttstock strike would to just fine for the start.
