Rocks? Do you mean stones or small stones?
Worms = A few tools can be used to dig them out of the ground.
Stones = You find them on Hiking trails or you need a Pickaxe to mine a bigstone from a dark rock in the landscape, which than can be split into 2x Stone.
Edit:
Never tried to start a Fire with a Gasstove, maybe that also works?
Also i never tried normal Glasses to start a fire or to craft a fire making lense out of it.
This^^
When you go to combine bark and a short stick the first option will be to create a fire but you willo see there is an option for the next recipe which you get with a left click and this option is to create a drill kit. Once you have it made then put it in your hands and look at the fire you created and it will give you the option to ignite it.
This is a great thing to learn for new players as you only need to find a knife (they are very common) and then you have a way to get food and warmth. When I started I was wasting a lot of time looking for matches and I probably died several times when I could have lived had I known how to create a drill kit
