Compared to Rust and other games, how big is it?

I dont know how big the map in Rust is, but Chernarus is about 12,5 km x 12,5 km

Rust has a huge map but Dayz map is enormous.
It takes like 3 hours to walk like 2 inches on the map xD

Tell you the truth, compared to Altis for ARMA 3, it's very, very small. Hell it's smaller than the Sauerland map for ARMA 2.

Yeah I've seen 225 km's but you can cross the complete south or east side in just over an hour or 1,5or so, in real life you take longer to cross 112,5 km so it's not really synchronized with the ingame km's

At the moment you run faster then usain bolt though. So thats not realy a good benchmark. In the future they will lower the running speed and you will feel just how big the map can be.

Character speed has been increased for the time being.
