DayZ

Multiple accounts but only allowed one Profile name in DayZ Launcher parameters.
I have 3 Steam accounts but naturally only one DayZ installation, so when it comes time to use the launcher parameters to set my profile name in launch options I can only have one name between my 3 accounts even though each account has a separate name. My question is can someone advise me if there's a way to have 3 separate profile names in launch parameters?

One name for each account when logged into that account. So when I'm playing under each of my profiles the name that corresponds to that profile/account is shown in game and not just the name set when the last launch parameters that were set.

The DayZ Launcher has two profile parameters:
-name=<string> "Profile name." The player's name sent to the multiplayer servers. -profiles=<path> "Location of user-profile folder." If a custom path is set, default files and folders (logFiles, AnimDataCache, DataCache, SteamPreviewCache....) located by default in %localappdata%/DayZ will be created in that new location. However, old files will stay in the old location and will not be copied.

It saves these settings in:
%LocalAppData%\Local\Bohemia_Interactive_a.s\...

So use the -profiles parameter if you want 3 different configuration profiles and the -name parameter if you want 3 different in-game names. You can not have 3 different in-game characters as the Online Hive is tied to your SteamID, not your DayZ installation.

If you are playing using 3 different SteamID's then you will have to either use 3 different Windows User Accounts or re-type your profile configuration path or character name in the DayZ Launcher every time your switch Steam accounts.

There is also another suggestion to try but I do not know if it works:
Stop using the DayZ Launcher and instead launch DayZ from Steam directly using custom Advanced Launch Options set through DayZ's Steam Properties. If you are lucky these settings might be tied to your Steam Account and not your Windows Account.

Thanks kindly for the info, looks like the easiest way is to just change it in the parameters each time I login to a server. I know it works as I have my own server and can see in admin tools that I'm logged in on whatever name I've placed in the parameters. It's a bit of a pain, but the most straight forward approach.
