Now in DayZ SA, I can see more PvE activities. Way back when, I remember having a really fun time using wire and sticks for rabbit traps. I also enjoyed (a lot of people hate on this) making farms and fires and my own little camp site. I even got a nice little video of hunting deer with a double barrel which was very fun.
If the game had TONS of zombies, I could see the PvE aspect being a lot more fun. And last I remember they disabled rabbits. Idk if they're back yet but seeing a fat little rabbit in the woods and hunting it used to really make the game fun for me.
I didnt come accross a lot of animals so far, tho i've seen some by watching streamers playing the game. I do enjoy playing to explore the map, but just wanted to know more about the pve aspect of the game :D
I really wish we could build structures, walls, etc, like in Rust.
Could be cool to build some stuff, I agree, but isnt it something they want to work on after 0.63?
PVE side then may get bigger and funnier. I think some have post pics 'bout the idea of base building. I have played 7 days, instead of rust, i think this building type of game are becoming very popular. I've seen some tools and engine that lets you create your own building type game wthout huge difficulties... these things are getting soooo comon, any tiny studio can do that in 2018... I'm kinda positive that the devs will succeed.
The first type are people who want a nice calm environment to learn the aspects of the game (from the basics to testing individual weapons or maybe checking loot spawn locations, heck even looking for good angles to hold in PvP servers), or to slow down from the crazy pace that PvP servers force on them. Think of it as a lounge to chill out and wind down. (I'm in this category)
The second type of people are those who want to troll the PvE players and get banned some time after killing as many people they can.
The final kind are the Role Players. There is a pretty good sized community of role players who eck out a virtual life in survival games like this. Doing some pretty amazing things. They can found entire settlements, work together to have a prospering farm, hunting parties, trading posts, all in the name of escaping reality and living out what they want to in a different world. I applaud their efforts, and sometimes they make some nice videos that are fun to watch on youtube, but mostly it's just a way for em to have their own kind of fun. (I'd join em if I could, but sadly, my play shedule is erratic at best)
Yeah, I'm thinking of joining a pve server to learn the different aspects of the game, i'm not really confortable with pvp, yet, I wish I could be more used to the weapon system already.
I've seen a little portion of people interacting with me, mainly and sadly KOS so far. But yeah, that was on pvp server, rainbows and licorns rarely wander around.
I also wish I could join some rp thing myself. I'm watching streamers that do so, its pretty awesome, watching it as if it was a movie. But english isnt my main language, i'm having self-confidence issue... Bleh :P !
We are all waiting for 0.63, and from there, who knows what cool stuff popup. Theres something interesting about whats coming, I pray for they build what they always wanted to, like base building, which should be not easy but very doable these times.
Skip to 3:36 if it doesn't automatically do it. The white armband guy had killed my friend and I ran up there to find them. I found my spot, figured out where I'd run, and engaged. 3v1 and they didn't stand a chance (And a poor 4th guy who showed up).
The thing in pvp is that I never get the gun with the ammos I found, or never get the ammos for the gun I found. When I find a Mosin, theres no way i'll get the ammo for it... I never got a single scope that fits my gun lol I really need to know the best place to loot, the map is huge and in russian, I find myself quite confused sometime haha Usung Izurvive map is Ok, but i'm sure a lot of people got used to it and no longer need it.
So still, PVE servers might help me familiarize with all of this I guess.
